KATHMANDU: In line with his prodessor Congress (I) Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s obsession with Sikhs Narasimha Rao raised the Punjab Sikh militants issue with King Birendra and Prime Minister G.P.Koirala during his threeday tour of the Himalyan Kingdom beginning Monday.
The Indian leader asked the Nepal government not to permit its territory to be used by Sikhs Kashmiris and L.T.T.E. militants against India. He emphasized the need for Nepal to plug its border with Pilibhit district of U.P. from where the Sikh and other militants infiltrated into India He called the freedom movements in Punjab Kashmir and Tamilnadu as terrorism.
