Re: Your letter of Dec.28,1993
Please accept my sincere and heartfelt gratitude on your views to The Honorable Congressman Condit relating to the violations of Sikh Human Rights in the Punjab (India). Your stand on the matter is commendable. The World Sikh Organization and its Executive Council fully support your views as contained in your letter of December 27,1993. The matter of the Punjab should be resolved amicably, safeguarding the honor and dignity of the people of the Punjab, much in the same manner as the people of Puerto Rico recently and freely determine their own destiny.
The Sikhs of Punjab and abroad have complete confidence in your abilities and look forward to bringing the matter to a successful conclusion through your good offices.
The demonstrations carried out (Los Angeles Times. 2/3/94) by some misguided individuals inspired by anti-Sikh sentiments and the anti-Human Rights lobby in front of the United States Embassy in New Delhi is highly deplorable.
Our organization and I look forward to your continuing support for the Sikh Cause, Justice, and the preservation of Human Rights in Punjab under the occupation of the New Delhi Administration and remainder of Indian States. With kindest regards and best wishes.

The Honorable Vic Fazio U. S. House of Rep. Washington, DC
Dear Representative Fazio:
for
I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge with sincere thanks and personal gratitude your continuous care and concern about Human Rights violations in the Punjab. The human atrocities and suffering must end before initiating any discussion and/or dialogue on long-term Political Solutions.
Only a God-loving and caring person can speak for the op- pressed and against government oppression. Once again, I thank you for your kindness and your continued commitment to pre- serve and protect human dignity and liberty.
It is a great honor for the American Sikh community to have such a great humanitarian and caring friend in the United States Congress. With best wishes and sincere regards.
Didar Singh Bains.
