It makes me sad to read Indian papers and find that all aspirants to. political power talk only of India and Indo-U.S. A, relations and not of problems of America to whose august Parliament they want to join. To qualify as a candidate to Congress you have to build your credit from grassroots upwards. None of you has done any service to the society, Here society means the all-embracing American Society consisting of all races and ethnic groups and not people of Indian origin only.

You have conducted your campaign as if you were fighting for a seat in the Indian Parliament by addressing the Indian gatherings only, When you are elected to the American Congress you represent all people in your constituency which contains all races and ethnic units, It is their confidence in you and your ability to represent them which will decide your success and failure. This lapse on your part of not addressing their problems and issues in going to cost you heavily,

It is the duty of Indian representative, the Indian Ambassador to protect the interests of Indians settled here and promote goodwill and understanding between India and U.S.A. and not of an aspirant for Congress seat in America. You have not uttered one word about problems of America then what can you contribute in the Congress if you succeed in the election. Undoubtedly and ambit of Human. Rights and International cooperation and amity between nations is the interest of politicians of alt shades, To succeed in politics you have to build your foundation from Grass Roots to gain the knowledge of problems, develop public relations and above all your record of service to the American Society to gain the confidence of those ‘who hold the power to elect you.” GS. Sandhu, Ex Kenya Fresno, CA.
