BAHRAIN: The sixth summit of the heads of state of 45-member organization of Islamic conference (OIC) will call for a peaceful _ resolution of the Kashmir problem — between India and Pakistan in accordance with the Simla agreement and the U N resolutions.

 A draft resolution approved Friday night by the political committee of member countries foreign ministers in the Senegalese capital Dakar condemned alleged “violation of human rights in Kashmir” and asked India to allow human rights organizations to visit the troubled state, organization’s sources contacted from here on telephone Saturday said.

The resolution would be forwarded by the foreign ministers to the heads of states at the four day summit beginning there from Monday. The 10-point resolution, the sources said, expressed concern over “escalating use of force against innocent Kashmiris” urging the two counties to settle the issue through peaceful means. The resolution welcomed the ongoing dialogue between New Delhi and Islamabad in this regard.
