BOMBAY, (PTI): The Reserve Bank of India has clarified that the relaxation made in the exchange control regulation regarding booking of passages for foreign travel was applicable to nonresidents also.
Accordingly, nonresidents can pay airfare in Rupees for travel within the country by domestic airlines, the relaxation was brought about by an ordinance issued this January, an RBI release said March 19.
