CHANDIGARH: After Akali leader Simranjit Singh Mann it is the turn of former judge Ajit Singh Bains to support the candidature of Ram Jethmalani for the post of India’s President.

In a statement issued from Chandigarh jail Bains states that the next Indian President should be “someone who understands Punjab and its people and who might influence the course of events to create a just climate in the state to take it near some solution.”

Justice Bains further says “The problem of Punjab is deeper than just the river water and territorial issues.

It exists in the minds hearts and psyche of the great and bold people of Punjab.”

Meanwhile the Babbar Khalsa International in a statement ridiculed those who had been touting the candidature of Ram Jethmalani.

What was the point in denouncing elections and the Indian Constitution if Ram Jethmalanis candidature under the Indian Constitution has to be promoted the B.K.I asked?
