CHANDIGARH: Justice N.K. Kapoor and Justice P.K. Jain last week issued a notice to the Director General of Police Punjab and others in a writ petition filed by the Punjab Relief Society Charitable Organization of Barnala.
‘The petitioner society constructed a four story building with 1.25 acre walled compound for running a hospital at Barnala in the car 198687. Before the society could start its hospital, the complete building ‘was unauthorized occupied by the police and a battalion of the CRPF was housed in it.
On representation, the Deputy Commissioner, Sangrur, assured that under extreme emergency the building was occupied by the police and it would soon be.

Despite a number of representations to all concerned authorities, no compensation whatsoever has been paid so far till date.
A Division Bench consisting of Justice R’S. Mongia and Justice V.S, Aggarwal, issued « notice of motion and stayed the finalization of proceedings by the Punjab Financial Corporation in the sale of unit Mis Shivam Spinning Mills, Ludhiana.
Ina writ petition filed by Unworthy Spinning Mills Pvt. Lid., Ludhiana it was contended by counsel R.S.S, Chahal that the corporation was estopped from negotiating with any other person/party for the sale of the unit advertised by it.
