SHIMLA: The Election Commission Has taken a serious note of the political statements made by president of the committed Employees Federation, Gopal Dass ‘Verma and asked the state government to detail the action taken against him. ‘According to official sources, the commission has written a letter to the Chief Secretary, with a copy to the state election department, seeking more information about Verma’ selection related activities. ‘The EC is reported to have pointed out that the government employees are expected to be fair and impartial in the conduct of the election process as they are deputed on election duty. ‘The state governments reported to have ‘apprised the commission of the action.
