Journalist: Mr. Ambassador, Soviet Ambassador to Pakistan said in Islamabad that his country will halt all military operation from the first day of a phased withdrawal from Afghanistan.

Ambassador: That’s right.

Journalist: But he hastened to add the condition that Western arms supplies to rebel guerrillas must stop completely from the start of that period,

Ambassador: Very correct.

Journalist: Don’t you think Soviet offer is a fraud to make the Western nations stop the supplies so that the rebels could be exterminated by the well-equipped Afghanistan Army? Ambassador: Not in national interest to disclose.

Journalist Mr. Ambassador, former Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Barnala has demanded the recall of Governor Ray for failing to establish peace in Punjab.

Ambassador: That’s right.

Journalist: He has also demanded reinstatement of his government in Punjab.

Ambassador. Very correct.

Journalist: Don’t you think Barnala’s demand for reinstatement is instigated by the Center as it wants to riggle out of a bad situation? Ambassador: Not in national interest to disclose.

Journalist: Mr. Ambassador, the Central Reserve Police Force in Punjab inspect even the lunch boxes sent by the families to their menfolk working in the fields and do not allow even a single of piece bread more than what they consider to be enough for one man.

 Ambassador: That’s right

Journalist: It is also learnt that the Security Forces in Punjab are conducting a virtual census of the Sikh males in the State.

Ambassador: Very correct.

Journalist. Does it mean the Central government is planning a Nazi brand operation to wipe out the Sikh male population in India?
