HARARE Reuter: The non-aligned will nominate a group of foreign ministers to visit western governments and lobby for the imposition of sanctions against South Africa conference sources said.
The group would include representatives from Africa Asia and Latin America but its exact composition had not yet been determined the sources said.
This high level diplomatic mission by the 101member nonaligned movement to press for sanctions had been agreed by a meeting of foreign ministers and would be put to the heads of government they added.
The six day summit which has brought together some 50 Presidents and Prime Ministers ends tomorrow.
The mission of foreign ministers would visit Washington Tokyo and several European community capitals before the end of this year the sources said
They pointed out that a clause in the Lome convention a trade and aid agreement linking the European community to many developing countries specifically commits the Europeans to work effectively eradicate apartheid.
