NEW DELHE: Pakistan on March 15 denied the BJP leader, L.K.Advani’s charge that Islamabad was involved in the recent bombing carnage in Bombay. In a statement here, the Pakistan High Commissioner, said that un like the BJP which “breeds religious hatred and promotes bloodshed, the government and the people of Pakistan abhor violence and terrorism in all its forms and share the grief of the people of India over the tragedy in Bombay.” As a rejoinder, the BJP leader, L.K_Advani, on Monday said that the government has “forfeited” its right to govern as the series of bomb blasts in Bombay only indicated its “failure” to contain militancy in the country. “The government’s way of handling militancy will spell doom for the country if it is allowed to continue without an effective check,” the BJP leader said.
Inaugurating a blood donation camp here in aid of the Bombay blast victims, Advani said if the culprits responsible for the bomb. blasts were not nabbed soon, “the brain will continue operate from outside,”
The BJP leader also criticized the government’s policies on Kashmir and Punjab. He rapped the government for seeking ad vice from the former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Dr.Faroog Abdullah, who propagated dialogue with militants.
Speaking on the occasion, the BJP leader, Madan Lal Khurana, said that this blood donation camp was only a token one, and if necessary the party was willing to donate more blood to meet the requirements of the victims.
The BJP MPs, B.L.Sharma, Kalka Dass, Ram Naik and Delhi unit president O.P, Kohli werealso present The BJP had earlier decided to observe the day as “anti-budget day” and take out a march to Parliament to protest against the price rise, But later converted the march into a blood donation camp for the Bombay blast victims.
