CHANDIGARH: The All India Sikh Students Federation has decided against sending a probe mission to Delhi to explore the possibility of starting a dialogue with the union govt.
A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of the AISSF held under the president ship of Manjit Singh at the end of a conference where views of intellectuals and representative of various organisations were solicited
The meet was attended among others by Sarabjit Singh Jammu Manjit Singh Bhooma Rajbir Singh Harminder Singh Gill Darshan Singh and others. Talking to newsmen Harminder Singh and Sarabjit Singh said that the conference held at UT rest house was attended by Kirpal Singh and Atinderpal Singh MPs Gurtej Singh Amar Singh Ambalvi Puran Singh Hundal Balwant Singh Tohra etc.
The AISSF has decided to give another opportunity to the center for negotiations. The govt mus win over the confidence of the people by ordering withdrawal to the army and paramilitary from Punjab. Parliament should adopt: resolution regretting the attack on the Golden Temple all black laws should be withdrawn all Sikhs arrested since 1978 be released unconditionally withdrawal of restrictions on the press punishment to guilty of 1984 riots and reinstatement of Sikh soldiers were among the demands raised at the meet.
