From Our Correspondent: CHANDIGARH: Nine persons including three militants were killed, seven injured and five kidnaped in Punjab in a single day. One person was killed and seven were injured three of them seriously in two separate blocks in Ludhiana city last night, the blocks took place in liquor shop Bharat Nagar and Gill Chowk area. Also kidnaped in the same period.
Panthic committee member Nishan Singh appeared to have been killed in fake encounters alleging attempt to escape from police custody last night. An unspecified number of extradition militants kidnaped nabhed Tehsildar Ajit Singh Kanugo Joginder Singh a driver and two persons from village a village in Tarn Taran police district.
