NEW DELHI: The National Front-Left Front combine urged’ Prime Minister P.V.Narasimha Rao to clarify whether there was “any commitment” from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) to abide by the “court vertical” In a strongly worded letter to Rao, both Fronts expressed dismay that the Prime Minister did not hold any consultations with them while trying to resolve the impasse created by the VHP. This, they said, was “all the more surprising” since the NFLF had consistently taken a “principled stand” on the issue, which was affecting national unity, The letter signed by former Prime Minister V.P.Singh, CPM General Secretary Harkishen Singh Surjeet and CPI National Council Secretary M Farooqi states.
