CHANDIGARH: A meeting of the Chandigarh based journalists and non-working journalist employees of various newspapers and new agencies deplored “the attack on the freedom of press from both the government and the militants”.
The meeting in a resolution said the press in Punjab and Chandigarh was working under heavy pressure from the government.
It appealed to both the government and the militants to lift all the restrictions forthwith allowing the press to function independently.
