PATIALA: Eight persons were killed and 73 sustained injuries when a tanker carrying LPG caught fire and burst with flames engulfing 55 roadside houses at Dhanuri Khera village on Dec 17, Fifty buffaloes, 14 bullocks, five cows and 58 calves were also killed.
CHANDIGARH: New Punjab Governor General O.P. Malhotra on Dec 18 took oath of office and secrecy at Raj Bhavan in Punjabi. The oath to him was administered by Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court S.V.
