The resolution said “Whereas it is both proper and fitting for the members of this House in noting and saluting the career and accomplishments of Beant Singh, be it resolved by the Senate of New Jersey that this House thereby praises Beant Singh for his dedication and wishes continues success and inspiration as one of the pre-eminent leaders of his home country.”

The Senate invited Beant Singh to receive the original copy of the resolution from its president. He will be made an honorary citizen of New Jersey.
