Sir,

The voluntary confession of Raji Gandhi’s trusted former Inspector General Police Julio Riberio that anti-Sikh terrorism in Punjab was a Government sponsored design to liquidate Si to denigrate their just and democratic cause was, in fact no news neither for the Sikhs nor for the Opposition party or even the elite. The Opposition party may mistakenly feel happy to have found a stick to beat the government with for their Electoral gains, but the Congress would rightly not be concerned at all because here credibility has already been torpedoed and mauled through with one scandal coming to light one after another, during the past one decade. The image cannot be tarnished anymore. Corruption, traveling from top to bottom has perhaps become a fact of life and the public is now getting used to take it for granted, no matter how and who runs the Government.

One however, is apt to wonder what actually promoted Riberio to divulge the secret unnecessarily (of course, it was never a secret) at this ominous hour against the Government who has been shielding him through thick and thin. It however helps none as much as it does to clear the conscience of anti-Indian Congressmen in America and other countries abroad, who are concerned about the gruesome violation of basic human rights of Sikhsin Punjab, at the hands of the fascist Indian government under the garb of democracy and under the protection and at the instance of the Communists.
