Dear Editor,

I was really disappointed by your article “Neil Dhillon on a Mission.” You Claim your paper to be the voice of the Sikhs and you profess to be a supporter of Khalistan. Ever since he declared his candidacy, Neil Dhillon has left no body in doubt that he will be a spokesman for India, Inc. In an article in News India, Neil is quoted as saying that “I firmly believe in the integrity of India and I strongly support a united India. If 1am elected to Congress, I shall be in a position to lobby the Indian interest effectively and work to improve the Indus relations.” His noncommittal stance regarding Sikh issues of daily persecution and subjugation in Punjab is obviously not enough for his die hard supporters like S.C.Singh (WSN 9/24/93) who tried to put a different spin on the issue to confuse the Sikhs, May I submit that Ravi Bhalla (WSN 8/2/93) has a better understanding of politics than Mr. Singh because he has recognized Neil Dhillon as what he really is a turncoat.

Neil indicated in your article that he is trying to find out more about Sikh problems in Punjab. I am really surprised that with his Sikh background and his long tenure as Chief of Staff for Congressman Bob Matsui he has to learn about Sikh issues from people. I have yet to hear a single word from Neil Dhillon against rights violations Committed by India which has been called one of the worst human rights violators in the word by Amnesty International. Apparently, the integrity of India is a More of a sacred cow to Mr. Dhillon than daily humiliation suffered by his brothers and sisters at the hands of occupying forces in Punjab. It is high time we saw through the plan of Indian Government which is trying to silence pro Khalistan voices in the US Congress by putting one of us to oppose this demand, I request all Sikhs to defeat India’s evil designs by saying “No” to Neil Dhillon.
