Sir,

Due to our incarceration in M.C.C. New York for more than three years now every week I read many Indian govt. sponsored ethnic newspapers and also some ethnic Sikh newspapers. In my view the ethnic Indian papers are blatantly biased and antiSikh, unfortunately role of some so called Sikh ethnic newspapers is also questionable, I have come to conclusion that antiSikh campaign by Indian govt. is as vigorous in these western countries as it is in India. Due to this propaganda this so called free press of western world is not ready to recognize Sikhs as genuine freedom fighters even though Sikhs all over world are making infinite sacrifices every day to achieve independence from Indian dominance.

The only antidote to this is that we should have an audacious and unbiased newspaper of our own.

I believe that free and fair press is a cradle of human rights. A newspaper should not lose its way in politics. A good newspaper leads, teaches and influences its reader’s mind for the betterment of the community. Even with all the odds stacked against it World Sikh News is striving to fulfill all the above mentioned conditions. World Sikh News is the voice of the Sikhs so every Sikh should support it, any person who opposes World Sikh News is opposing the aspirations of the Sikh freedom fighters in Punjab, Please keep up the good work World Sikh News.

Deg Teg Fateh.

 Your’s Sincerely,

Ranjit S. Gill Sukhminder Singh
