MOGA, Punjab, India: Old Naxalites of Punjab announced the formation of a new militant organization to start an armed struggle in Punjab. The new Organization has been named Punjab Liberation Force. This decision was taken after a week long discussion at Jaito in Faridkot District and was attended by 50 militants from different parts of Punjab, according to Indian Express.

After prolonged deliberations, the meeting decided unanimously that the principal task before the people of Punjab was to get themselves liberated from the new colonial stranglehold of the communally biased India and liberation of Punjab could be achieved only through a protracted armed struggle. This was the historical lesson taught by Guru Gobind Singh nearly three centuries ago and epitomized by Mao in his saying that political power flowed out of the barrel of gun.

It was about 20 years ago that Naxalites in West Bengal had illuminated the path of liberation by raising the red banner and thousands of valiant figures had laid down their lives.

The Punjab Liberation Force has decided to commemorate forthcoming 20th anniversary of this struggle in Punjab, according to Rachpal Singh who has been authorized to act as spokesman of this new organization.

According to a press note issued by Rachpal Singh, all those forces and elements in Punjab will be treated as enemies who openly align with the despotic central regime. The organization will not allow any physical attack; rather it will fight out these forces ideologically and politically. But those elements who commit serious crimes against us will be punished appropriately. The P.L.F. will adopt a policy of cooperation with Sikh freedom fighters even though “We may wage a determined battle against them ideologically”, the spokesman added.
