CHANDIGARH: The lady IAS officer who was allegedly molested by Punjab police chief K.P.S. Gill at a private dinner party is to appeal against the Punjab and Haryana High Court order to quash the complaint she filed against him.

The court had on May 29 quashed the complaints by Mrs. Rupan Deol Bajaj about Gill’s misbehavior at a party. Gill was allegedly drunk at the time of the incident. Mrs. Bajaj is the Special Finance Secretary. Her husband BR. Bajaj is the Special Agriculture Secretary to Punjab government.

Mrs. Bajaj had refused to accept an apology from Gill in spite of intervention and pressure by Governor Sidarth Sahnkar Ray. She filed a complaint at the police Station and her husband filed a Separate complaint with the Chief Judicial magistrate.

Gill filed’ a petition with the High Court seeking the quashing of the complaints, and judge S.D, Bajaj gave verbal orders quashing it.
