NEW DELHI, India, Feb. 27, Reuter: Noble Peace Prize winner mother Theresa will visit the Soviet Union and China in May to set up missions for people who were “left alone”, the Press Trust of India said on Saturday.
The 77yearold nun told reporters in the East Indian coastal city Visakhapatnam that she would visit the two countries with nuns from her missionaries of charity. She did not say which cities she had in mind or how long she planned to stay.
Mother Theresa, who founded her first home in the slums of Calcutta in 1962, said similar charities have been set up in 78 countries so far.
