WASHINGTON: Pakistan has overtaken Bangladesh as the second most populous nation in the Indian subcontinent due to its higher birth rate according to Japan 1991.
The Pakistan population in mid-1989 was estimated at 108.68 million against Bangladesh’s 106.51 million says the publication based on U N data.
