NEW DELHI: The Government on Dee.15 denied that it was considering any Proposal to recognize the Line of Control in Kashmir as an international border between India and Pakistan, Minister of State for External Affairs RK. Bhatia told the Rajya Sabha in a written reply that the Government was aware of Press reports outlining such approaches as a solution to the Kashmir tangle. It will continue to apprise the international community of the factual position regarding Pakistan’s involvement with terrorism directed against India. However, the Government was MOL considering any white paper detailing Pakistan’s involvement in abetting or fomenting communal passions in India. Minister of State for Internal security told the House that the Government is keen to start the political process in Kashmir and was considering two options before it in this regard. Replying to supplementaries during the question hour, Pilot said the two options are either to set up an effective political advisory council or appointing a political advisor. He said the Government was considering both the options and was having consultations with political leaders in the State, Ne said the Narasimha Rao Government was taking all possible Steps to restore normalcy in the valley and provide safety and security to Government employees who were working under trying circumstances in Kashmir. Referring to the rocket attack on the Doordarshan Kendra in Snnagar, which claimed the life Of Station Director $.P.Singh recently, Pilot said the Secretariat, Doordarshan Kendra and AIR station were the largest of rocket attacks and the administration had provided a screen around the buildings. He said all measures were being taken by the security forces to prevent recurrence of such rocket attacks by militants in the Kashmir valley.
