PATNA (PTI): At least 25 coal miners were feared drowned when about carrying 50 people capsized in the river Damedar in Bokaro district of the eastern state of Orissa June 12

Twenty five occupants of the ill-fated boat belonging to the Bharat coking coal limited cither swam ashore or were rescued state home secretary J.L Arya said here Monday. So far five bodies had been recovered they were identified as those of Sunder Benia Bahupur Roy Gora Pandit Paramjit Pandey and Manta Mia.

Preliminary reports reaching Dhanbad Sunday night had said 60 people were feared drowned in the mishap.
