CHICAGO: The Chicago chapter of Asian American journalist association is holding a media workshop on Wednesday Oct, 2 1991 at Roosevelt University 430 South Michigan Ave. Chicago at 6:30 p.m. to9:15 p.m.
Blue-Ribbon panel discussion on media Coverage of Asian Americans featuring several news directors of Major T.V. networks and editors of Major Chicago news Papers will be moderated by news anchors Adele Arakawa of C.B.S. Linda Yu of A.B.C. and David Tbata of Chicago Tribune. The Purpose is to make the communities aware of what makes the media tick and to learn do’s and don’ts of how to access media Coverage. The workshop is free and will also cover how to write an effective press release editorial or a position paper Practical media tips of press conferences will be given by professionals. A local media contact list and deadlines information will also be provided.
This is an excellent opportunity for Chicago Sikh American community leaders and youth alike to meet with the major media decision makers to cultivate an ongoing line of communication with the major media in Chicago to always project a positive image of the community.
