CHANDIGARH: The Punjab irrigation and power minister Harcharan Singh Brar on Feb.23 Suspended 108 employees of the state’s irrigation department, including a chief engineer and a Superintendenting engineer, indicating massive corruption in the department the officers involved in serious irregularities causing losses. They accepted bribes, were absent from duty and colluded in power theft.
