In a surprise move, Northern Railway today announced cancellation of trains up and down going towards north and northwest border until December 31. According to a Northern Railway spokesman this step has been taken to move priority traffic to full fill other commitments. This has not been explained and the sources. Army has been deployed in according to a BBC report. Pakistan border for extend have declined to comment on the cancellation of trains. Food Corporation of India told the reporters that large quantities of food grains have accumulated in Punjab and Haryana, The old stocks along with the new arrivals are awaiting transportation from these states to other areas.
