BATHINDA: President of the Akali Dal (Mann), Simranjit Singh Mann, Dec.17 said he would consult all the militant organizations and the Baba Thakar Singh on the question of his party’s participation in the proposed elections in Punjab. “Elections are an important issue and he would not take any decision on his own”, Mann said while speaking to newsmen at Gidderabaha near here.
Mann said he had doubts whether the elections in the state would be held in a fair and free manner under the supervision of the army and paramilitary forces.
He said new enrollment drive for the membership of his party has already begun and it would be completed within a months’ time.
