PUNJAB: Simranjit Singh Mann Chief of Akali Dal (M) has called for unity among the minorities of India.

In a message to the people he said that it was June 6,1984 when Akal Takht was attacked by the majority and on the same date in Dec.1992 the Babn Masjid was demolished, which has hurt the sentiments of both Sikhs and Muslims.

In his message, he said that the present political system is parallel

to that which existed in Sikh history which was to dominate Hindus and Sikhs. The way Muchas used to execute Sikhs the present political system is also doing. Mann said that daily 1520 Punjabis and Kashmiris are killed in fake encounters and their wives, mothers and sisters are raped, and their elders are tortured and humiliated which gives a clear cut picture of the ugly policies of the majority. He added that whether it is Cong (I), BJP or VHP who holds every right to violate laws and the constitution minorities hold no rights to demand justice between exploited and dominated by the govt. using TADA and NSA against them.

Mann said that “let’s take an oath to fight against the domination by a majority. That will be a true homage to the sacrifice of Sahibzada Zorawar Singh and Sahibzada Ajit Singh.”

In the end of his message he added “’I take an oath to fight for an Sovereign Sikh State without any fear.”
