KAPURTHALA: More than two dozen activists of All India Sikh Students Federation headed by Swaran Singh Khalsa announced their resignation from the Manjit Akali Dal on the grounds that their leader had betrayed the mission of Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and Bhai Amrik Singh by joining hands with the Badal Akali Dal in the Jalandhar by election. The activists said that they would support Justice Ajit Singh Bains as the right choice as a representative of the Sikh panth. Manjit group is the only non Badal faction supporting the Badal Dal candidate Kuldip Singh Vadala.
