CALCUTTA: Dr. Nelson Mandela leader of the African National Congress would visit India in October this year, M. Mphele, chief representative of the African National Congress in India, said here Friday.
Dr. Mandela he said would begin his Asian tour with India and in all probability would also come to this city.
“I shall try my best to see that Dr. Mandela visits Calcutta since I have promised it to many people here,” he said.
