S MALL SINGH was born to Sardar and Sardarni Kartar Singh at Ludhiana, Punjab. His father had already established his own business concern by the name of Kartar Typewriter Company, Ludhiana. Mr. Mall Singh graduated from Government College, Ludhiana, in 1956. He was studying in first year in MA Punjabi when he joined the Punjab Government Rehabilitation Department as a Senior Clerk. He soon joined his family business concern and got a big contract for the supply of English Typewriters to the Government offices all over the State during the regime of S. Partap Singh Kairon but after conversion to the use of Punjabi in government offices, Mr. Mall Singh also changed his typewriters to the same language. He also added another feather to his cap by capturing a contract from the Thermal Plants for the supply of the typewriters to them,
Mall Singh takes pride in telling the people that he migrated to U.S.A. with meager money in his pocket and now he is the owner of three 7Eleven stores in the Los Angeles area and orchard of apples at Tehachapi at the height of 4000 feet
Mall Singh is married to Devinder Pal Kaur and they are the proud parents of three daughters who are following in the footprints of their parents by getting good grades in school and college.
