SRINAGAR: The Senior leader of All-Party Hurriyat Conference (APHC), Mr. Abul Gani Lone, ¢s- an attempt on his life when unified gunmen hurled a grenade on his Ravaipora residence Sunday night. According to official sources, the grenade Tamed in Mr, Lone’s bed- room but did not explode. As soon as the grenade landed in the room, the personal security guards of Mr, Lone shifted him and his family members to a safer place, Bomb disposal squad later neutralized the explosive device.
The Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference has expressed concern over the “murderous attack” on Mr, Lone.
The Conference, which met under the chairmanship of Dr. Ghulam Mohammad Hubli, decided to further beef up personal security to Mr. Lone.
The party said such acts will not deter or deviate them from the “path of right of self-determination.
