Dear editor
We are writing with reference to your edit in your issue of Dec.7: Urgent need to develop media.
We are happy that you have realized this need at last.
In our Aug 16 1990 DV edit Wanted a Press for SC/ST/BCs and minorities we have elaborated this very point and later on we have been often stressing this point.
The war against Brahminism is not physical but intellectual. Where you can’t even identify Brahminism how can you fight it? For your information to this day nobody has succeeded in making even a dent on Brahminism.
When I was in Chandigarh jail under the Terrorist Act (1986) along with Maj. Gen. Narinder Singh had clarified this point. Earlier I had made this point clear to Sant Bhindranwale also. They all appreciated this point but none took any step.
Sikh fight for self-determination will not succeed through violent means.
There is no need for guns if we educate SC/ST/BCs Muslims and Christians. Educate leads to agitate agitate leads to organize. And even before we organize that is the third state Brahminism will be dead. These are the Three Commandments of Baba sahib Ambedkar and if you want we will send you this literature.
The success of the Three Commandments is proved from the fact that our people Dalits no longer resent our support to Sikhs because they are now fully educated on the subject of self-determination.
So you leave the part of educating SC/ST/BCs and Muslim and Christian and Sikhs the 85% six non Hindu sections of India to us and the rest will follow.
We have the Dalit Voice which if converted into a weekly later daily will take care of this work of reconstructing India and saving it from Brahminism.
Since we are the one and the only institution with an all-India network (DV is being published in five languages including Hindi and our Dalit Sahitya Academy has published about 50 titles) we are capable of handling the situation. What we need is support
We have prepared an Rs.25 lakh project report for converting DV into a weekly. And this is peanuts for you people.
Where there is a will there is a way. If you are interested we can have further discussion on this.
We conclude the battle against Brahminism is intellectual we have that weapon.
