I would like to extend many thanks to our generous sister (Sardari Amrit Kaur Ji, Tracy, Ca.) for the favor she has done for us. We wish there were more sisters and brothers like her.
With great interest I read the letter of S. Rasamrit Singh Ji Khalsa and Sardarni Satnam Kaur Ji Khalsa, published in the last issue of August, in which they report their visit to S, Sukhminder Singh and S. Virinder Singh in Oxford, Wisconsin prison. While reading the letter, I perceived them (Khalsas) to be with us though they were at a faraway place from us, It seems that they made every effort to share the sufferings of the Jailed freedom fighters and to achieve this objective, they had to face many problems. Successfully obtaining permission for arranging a Kirtan program and taking Kara Prashad in the jail are their good deeds, Congratulations!
We felt joy to read the news item “Congressman Shumway: Honored At a Special Dinner”, in the same issue, Every Sikh is grateful to Hon, Shumway’s raising of his voice against the persecution of the Sikhs in India and East Punjab (Khalistan) organized by the Indian government itself, which is like a balm to our injured hearts. Hon, Congressman has excellently unveiled the Indian government’s mouth and hands, dripping with the blood of Sikhs. Many thanks to Hon. Shumway.
World Sikh News sincere of forts to acquaint the U.S. Congressmen and Senators with the facts of the persecution of Sikhs, and the Khalistan movement are praiseworthy. It has made a long step towards success. Our heartiest congratulations.
Lastly, I would request you to kindly increase the pages of World Sikh News (Of both supplements), publish more articles arguing the necessity of independence as also of the alliance of the Mennonites that are being persecuted in the country of the tyrant rulers, called Bharat (India), Please also write on Russian aggression upon Afghanistan and the sacrifice and the struggle of the Afghan Mujahideens. India and Russia are jointly crushing both the nations we ‘must support the Afghan Mujahidens.
‘At this crucial time, every Sikh ought to get in step with the Caravan of Liberation. Those who: believe in singing their own praises and leg-pulling, should kindly refrain from making these “remark able contributions” and come out of the rusty sheathe of “great man”, for God’s sake!
I wish our hearts to beat in unison and the sufferings of one to be felt by all the others, Let us thread ourselves on one string only and step up the struggle collectively.
