Sir,

Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa Wahegura ji Ki Fateh

I have read the letter by Bhai Amarjit Singh Buttar (WSN 203.92 page 6) with great surprise The letter-writer has done the same thing for what he has criticized Khushwant Bhai Amarjit Singh has used the prefix Sardar for Khushwant several times whereas Khushwant has professed it several times that he is not a proper Sikh. He in one of his latest books has tried to promote a new religion. So using prefix sardar for a non-sardar is an act of imprudence.

Further he has called him “well known Sikh Historian.” This too is novice. Khushwant is not well known bat he is notoriously publicized figure. Secondly he is not a historian. He is a propagandist. His work “History of the Sikhs” Which he wrote when he was an employee of the Indian Embassy in London and was written in order to please the Hindu rulers This book is not quoted by any genuine” historian or scholar. Writers belonging to Anti-Sikhism Like anti-Semitic) school has promoted him. His books are non-scholarly pieces of writing.

He has written an entry for the Encyclopedia Britannica about Sikhs which shows how much he knows about Sikhism and where he stands. His entry is distortion of Sikhism and sheer anti Sikh propaganda and exactly opposite to the entry on Sikhism by M.A Macauliffe in 1911. His entry is more of statement by Indian government than that of an academic material.

Bhai Amarjit Singh Ji we must be clear-headed and prudent before we take pen in our hand otherwise.

I hope you will not promote Gobelles’s comrades-in-arms in any manner.
