Dear Editor,
Kindly allow me to express my gratitude to the leadership of the World Sikh Organization for going ahead in organizing issues which will have direct and indirect influence on our existence inside and outside of India. As the body is at its grassroots stage and is faced with so many problems, I would venture to give a suggestion about membership which if implemented will lead to the further success of our mission.
Membership; Though the response from individual members have been very encouraging, we should attempt to get all Gurudwaras outside of India to become the members of the World Sikh Organization. Direct contact with the Presidents of Sikh institutions through telephone in N. America can be very effective. It also produces a personal touch. A contact person at each Gurdwara can be nominated and requested to urge people to become the members of this esteemed organization. There might be some individuals who would not like to become members in the official sense, they could be encouraged to make “‘Gupt” donation.
I feel that if implemented this could be very useful.
Sincerely,
S.S.S.
