Dear Editor,
There is ‘no doubt that with the Capture of Dr.Sohan Singh we have suffered very serious setbacks to our freedom movement. Let us NOL betray ourselves and face the fact that the movement as it stands today is kind of a flickering light Of oil lamp which has run out of its oil and the flame is barely surviving on the last few drops of oil let in the wick which itself is basically burnt out.
However, the point is that how we are going to respond to these setbacks. Shall we simply accept defeat and let this flame of freedom die or shall we immediately rise to the Occasion, put new oil in the lamp and make it light with bigger illumination than before.
I think this ‘is the occasion for us to take immediate steps to rise to the occasion and forget all our previous differences and ego trips, put our heads together and chalk Out a joint and united program of action to put a new life into this Struggle, I propose that let us all once again Sit together under the guidance of Guru Granth Sahib, sort Out our past mistakes, draw new lessons from these setbacks, and Once again present a united front Against our adversaries. I propose that let us not waste any time in formalities and call this conference immediately, say during the coming Christmas holidays (December 2426) at any convenient central place such as Chicago. T very much hope that all the sincere Sikh ladies and gentlemen who really believe that we cannot let the blood of thousands of our brothers and sisters will go to waste will approach and demand from their local leaders to make immediate steps in this direction. Further I wish and hope that all the people who consider themselves or aspire to be our Leaders, will not only feel the need, but will immediately forget their past differences and consult with each other and immediately announce the holding of such a conference. Finally Jets hope and pray that Waheguru Akal Purakh will provide us with all the necessary guidance and a road map to overcome the recent.
“Setbacks and guide us on a new road of victory and freedom, Daljit Singh Jawa Topeka, KS.
