NEW DELHI, Nov 23, Reuter: Lebanese Ambassador Michel Aboukhater on Tuesday appealed to India to use its influence as a leading non-aligned state to help end the 14 year war in his country.
In a broadcast address marking Lebanon’s Independence Day, he said the conflict was not a civil war but “the war of others on its territory.”
” Against the national will, more than one foreign army occupies its territory, depriving Lebanese citizens of their right to self-determination,” he said.
