COLOMBO: During its forthcoming four day visit to Delhi, a Sri Lankan parliamentary delegation headed by speaker M H Mohammed will try to give the Indian leaders a clear picture of the actual happenings in the northeast and counter the militants’ “propaganda” that government forces are indulging in “genocide” and “large scale killing of civilians”, an official spokesman said.
Members belonging to the Tamil parties the Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front (ENDLE), the Tamil United Liberation Front (TULE) and the Eelam Revolutionary Organization of Students, known to be closely allied to the dominant militant Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam have decided to keep away from the delegation.
