LONDON: The mortal remains of Laldenga Mizo National Front leader and former chief minister of Mizoram who died here Saturday while on his way back from New York will be flown to New Delhi in a couple days.

Laldenga’s body is lying in a mortuary at Ash wood Hospital, Middlesex where he was rushed after being off loaded from the Air India Flight from New York when he developed respiratory problems one and a half hour before the plane was scheduled to land at Heathrow airport.

Earlier, Laldenga, wasina critical condition in Slone Kettering cancer research hospital in New York, was flown back to India.

Laldenga, who was being treated for lung cancer slipped into a coma on Sunday night, with doctors at the Slone Kettering institute discovering that the disease had spread to the esophagus and the lower spine.
