NEW DELHI: India’s senior hockey team defeated Kenya 2-0 (ht 1-0) to go three-zero up in the four test series Friday.
Kenya who had gone down 2-1 and 3-0 in the first two tests against the junior squad defended stubbornly throughout in the third test played here before a goodly cheering crowd. But the Indians who had recently annexed the Sultan Azlan Shah title from Malaysia failed to rise to the expectations of their fans attacking aimlessly and wasting many chances
And at the end a section of the crowd expressed their disappointment openly shouting “boring game bad hockey”.
