LACHMAN SINGH TAKHAR: S. Lachman Singh came to America in 1932. For 40 years he stayed in Fresno and Delta area. His cousin Kartar Singh Takhar was supervisor of P.C.P. Farms in Rio Vista area. he left Bombay in 1927 and sailed to South America via French Guinea, Guatemala, Mexico. He reached Imperial Valley on a boat and then came to ‘Stockton and worked as a supervisor. He was irrigation specialist looking after irrigation of 3.5 thousand acres. He settled in wheat land. In 195960 he bought a small ranch of peaches and walnuts. After 25 years con tenuous stay in America, he took a trip to India in 1957.
