JAMMU (PTI): The toll in unprecedented floods in the northern Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir has risen while the Indian air force continued air-dropping food packers in areas where people have been marooned..

An official spokesman said Maximum casualties have been reported from Udhampur district.

These include five of a family of Abdul Aziz in landslide in Pouni, and six persons of the family of Om Prakash at Parkash in Reasi sub-division, Four persons were reported to have been washed away at the Puli Morh in Ans Nullah along with their cattle, and eight other laborers died in Salal tunnel.
