WASHINGTON,DC: The Khalistani and Naga leadership jointly called for an end to the current Indian government siege of the Hazratbal mosque in Srinagar, Kashmir, Since Oct. 16, Indian government troops have Surrounded the mosque in an attempt to squash the Kashmiri freedom movement

Dr.Gurmit Singh Aulakh, of Council of Khalistan, Isak Chishi Swu, Chairman National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN), and Th. Muivah General Secretary of the NSCN called for the immediate withdrawal of Indian government troops from the mosque,

The joint condemnation by the prominent Khalistani and Naga leadership in support of freedom struggling Kashmir signals the beginning of greater cooperation between the three freedom movements. This past February, the Council of Khalistan issued a letter to all Indian hired Sikh soldiers in Nagaland to cease any oppression of the Naga people. The letter was distributed throughout Nagaland by the NSCN.

The siege of the Hazrathal Mosque is revoltingly reminiscent of the Indian government attack on Sikhism’s holiest shrine, the Golden Temple, in 1984. Since then, the Sikh homeland Punjab, Khalistan, like Nagaland and Kashmir today, has been a virtual police state. Just today the New York Times reported that in Punjab’ “the enemy is no longer armed militants, but ruthless an unrestrained policemen.”
