We have launched a magazine under the name of Khalistan Times’ to apprise people the world over of the freedom struggle of Khalistan and other freedom movements We are in primary stage making efforts to present the Khalistan case before the world through this magazine
We have made great efforts to present the real picture of the Khalistan freedom movement before our readers because the Indian govt. has labeled it as a terrorist movement Several articles which have appeared in the Indian and world press present so completely false and erroneous a picture of the Sikh struggle that the Sikh freedom fighters and their sympathizers feels overwhelmed by distress. The authors of these write-ups who are official or non official communiqués of the govt. of India traces the genesis of the conflict to the violent campaign of the militant groups in the wake of the operation Blue Star. We have tried to prove through this magazine that it is a night and just movement with a legitimate and historical background. This magazine shows that the power of the Indian State derives from betrayal of the principles that had united the peoples of the subcontinent in their fight against the British imperialism. Our magazine contains material on the background and the goals of the Sikh Freedom Movement.
Secondly we have tried to apprise the intelligentsia of the foreign world of the Viewpoint of different Sikh intellectuals and militants on the present state of the movement. This had to be done as the Indian govt. has launched a propaganda campaign that the Sikh freedom movement has been crushed. It was necessary 10 communicate the message of the Sikh nation that the freedom movement is very much alive and the Indian repressive tactless will certainly prove counter-productive in the near future.
Thirdly we have also tried to communicate to our compatriots and brethren in arms abroad that their sons who are fighting for an independent Sikh homeland have not only taken up arms against the aggressor Hindu junta bat have also taken up the pen in their other hand to launch a crusade through media as well
Finally through this magazine we have tried to present the real picture of human rights violations as to how even women were tortured, beaten, insulted and molested by the Indian policemen while they were in illegal custody. Later they were killed in the dark of night their bodies were dumped in the canals. Excesses by the security forces are a matter of routine – be it Kashmir, Assam, Nagaland or Khalistan
