NEW DELHI, India: The Opposition Unified Democratic Front members in Kerala walked out of the Assembly, saying that conventions and accepted rules and procedures were not being followed after the Speaker refused a general discussion on the budget.
Before the walkout, the opposition leader Mr. Karunakaran, accused the Speaker of violating the laws by deciding to take up the discussions before a debate on the budget.
