CHANDIGARH: Khalistan Commando Force (KCF) deputy chief Jasbir Singh, alias Jagga, was among three militants killed in Punjab on March 19.

Tam Taran police chief Ajit Singh told newsmen at Amritsar that Jagga and his unidentified accomplice were shot dead in an encounter with the security forces at Bhoan village in the police district March 20, The encounter ensued when on a tipoff the security forces raided a house in the village. Jasbir Singh craned are ward of Rs 5 lakh on his head, the SSP added.

A police naka party shot dead an unidentified militant in an en counter near Kantulpur village in Gurdaspur district.

Five suspected militants were nabbed by the police in Ludhiana district and one was arrested in Sangrur district.
